I need some motivation.

I have been working on our living/dining room (you can see the design board here.) and hopefully soon I will have some pictures to share, But first I need some motivation. Some MAJOR motivation!

Whose idea was it for me to make striped curtains?   I’m so excited for the finished product and I know I will love love love floor to ceiling chunky red and white striped curtains, but there is a ton of work to do! A ton of measuring, cutting, piecing together and sewing ahead of me and I’m not really looking forward to it.

So this post is more of a self motivating post for me to kick it into gear! Sometimes it takes looking at other pretties to really get me going!

Oh, and I act as if I didn’t already have this huge push… I have less than a month to get everything finished before our baby girl’s 1^st birthday bash! eeek!  I can do it; I can do it…..

The Rumors Are True...

I live about 30 miles from the closest Mall, which means unfortunately for me, I can’t just run to a store whenever I feel an urge to shop, especially with a baby in tow! But over the past 3 years I have started to embrace my new small town life. It’s charming and a lot less expensive than when every store you could every want is only a few miles away from your front door! But I think it makes our big weekend shopping excursions just a little more exciting and special!  (Right, Husband? J )

Well, the rumors are true.... Today through March 2^nd buy one pair of regular priced pants from Gap and get a top FREE!!! That’s ½ off an entire outfit folks! Now, this is only available in stores, but I went to their site today to my work game plan. Speaking of sales, I also got an email saying that today- Wednesday- Gap is offering 40% off any regular priced item! The potential for savings here is endless and I am soaking it up!!

My mom and I did some shopping this weekend (Presidents Day Sales!) and I tried on this dress and had to share! I didn’t purchase it, but it might be a contender for some upcoming events this summer! It was so cute on and really flattering. I just love love love Gap's new Spring designs!

H&M Home.

Don’t you love stumbling on to something that you never knew existed and then you can’t get your debit card out of your super cute wallet fast enough? Well, that’s how I felt this morning when I found out H&M had a home line. What?!? Is this old news and I’m just now figuring it out? If so, I’m sorry for the old news… but I’m loving it! It slightly reminds me of Anthro Home, just a heck of a lot cheaper! Hooray!

Their spring line is so fresh! I’m a color girl, but I am loving the neutrals tones and the natural fabrics. And of course I’m a sucker for ruffles… especially ruffled curtains! So, I thought I would share a few of my favorites!

Come On Spring!

Since I’m surrounded by 20+ inches of snow (not an exaggeration, we truly measured 20 inches of snow in my front yard!) and the current – not wind chill- temperature is -11, I thought I would dedicate this post to spring. My latest attempt to cure cabin fever!
