Must Have: The Maxi Dress

So I might or might not have bought 3 maxi dresses in 1 week... But after reading this article by my fav, Rachael Zoe in my March Glamour Magazine, I decided  I wanted to embrace these long lengths as much as possible! I wrote these posts, here and here, about ways to lengthen your body, and I thought this needed to be added as a great lengthening tool! (Sorry my blog is slowly turning into a short girls guide to dressing taller…  but I’m also totally ok with it, if you are!)

These are the 2 Maxi dresses and (similar) skirt that I found over the past week... These design boards are exactly what I picture doing with each piece as I bought them! Its so fun to picture an outfit, see it on paper (err...computer screen), and then create it with items from my closet. Such joy it brings!!

Wingback

I have been searching for a cheap wingback to recover for my living room- FOR. LIKE. EVER. We are in major need of an accent chair and I want it to be a bold piece that I am really proud of.  Looks like I will be spending my weekends at garage sales this summer! I LOVE these looks!

I love the look of traditional furniture upholstered with a modern fabric! Very unpredicatable!

Day to Night: Shorts

Its Saturday. High of 75 and sunny. Lets enjoy some spring outfit inspiration, shall we?

I am loving shorts this spring. They are everywhere right now. And not just plain jane jean shorts. Different fits and lengths, different fabric weights and prints. Love them! Shorts are great for a day of shopping and lunch on a patio, but also great with fun accessories and a cute wedge for night.
